Art of coffee, fine food and wine by Mövenpick

The following article is not meant for people under 18 years old for most European countries and 21 years old for USA and 25 years old for Sweden and certain other countries with the same age regulation for digital content about beverages containing alcohol. If you aren’t above the legal drinking age in your country please leave this article.

Art of coffee, fine food and wine by Mövenpick. Mixology is a booming trend as well as its combination with haute cuisine, has been staying on the gourmet front row for the last few years.

I’m super excited about this growing culture of blending coffee into culinary and cocktails. Recently, Mövenpick presented new opportunity to experience and intensify your palates. Within the event at the 20/20 restaurant by Mövenpick, Chef David Klocksin, who was awarded 14 Gault Millau points, prepared intriguing coffee menu. I’ve learned a lot about taste combinations and consolidation of different components into perfectly balanced meals.

Furthermore, the “Brewing Bartender” Timon Kaufmann explained the principles of food pairing and mixology.

I was welcome to the presentation with a refreshing cocktail “Mövenpick Lemonade”. Below, I want to share with you the recipe of this cocktail. If you will prepare it, let me know in the comments below how you like it.

    Mövenpick lemonade (nonalcoholic)

    • Mövenpick filter coffee (cold) – 300 ml
    • Red currant juice – 50 ml
    • Lemon juice – 20 ml
    • Ricola Sirup – 30 ml

Prepare the coffee as usual, but change some amount of water to ice. For example: For 300 ml of coffee, brew 200 g of water on 100 g of ice. The amount of coffee remains unchanged. Put all ingredients in ice-filled glass and stir. Garnish with red currants, Ricola candy and lemon.

Since 1963, Mövenpick has been writing a successful story on production of excellent coffee. The brand constantly creates new blends and innovates. For instance, their wide coffee selection is also available in Nespresso-compatible capsules. More about the Mövenpick coffee you may find on the its official website.

If you would like to indulge your senses with delicious food – coffee – wine pairing, then you are welcome to the 20/20 Mövenpick restaurant.
