Frutt Lodge and SPA is a romantic paradise secluded among the Alps in the heart of Switzerland.

Switzerland is a fantastic destination year-round. In summer, enjoy sunny cities, lush green hills, crystal-clear lakes, and refreshing alpine air. Our recent stay at Frutt Lodge and SPA was unforgettable, and we’re excited to share this gem with you.

    Spectacular Location and Easy Access

Located in Melchsee-Frutt, a cosy village in the Swiss Alps near Lucerne, Frutt Lodge and SPA is perched on a high plateau, 1920 meters above sea level. The journey involves a scenic cable car ride, offering mesmerising valley and mountain views.

    Luxurious Accommodation and Amenities

Frutt Lodge & SPA is a 4-star wellness hotel that boasts 58 luxurious rooms, six junior suites, and three suites, all with panoramic views. Rooms feature Nespresso machines, fresh fruits, water, and a packed spa bag. The hotel is pet-friendly and offers a luggage service for a hassle-free experience.

The interior is thoughtfully designed in the traditional lodge style with modern features and exclusive wood details. In addition, panoramic windows in each room, in the restaurant and in the SPA bring breathtaking surroundings inside.

    Good to know:

    • The hotel is located in the village of Melchsee-Frutt, located 1920 m above sea level and belongs to the municipality of Kerns in the canton of Obwalden.
    • Travel from Zurich Main Train Station to Melchsee-Frutt via Lucerne, Sarnen, and Stöckalp. The journey takes around 2.5 hours. Despite the number of connections, the trip was joyful and felt light. Perhaps, because each transit was short, but mostly thanks to SBB brilliant scheduling.
    • While making your reservation, remember to book the luggage service for the gondola. For a reasonable CHF 25 per adult and CHF 10 for kids, you’ll get the ticket up-down, and the hotel picks up your luggage, so you travel lightly.
    • More details you can find on the hotel’s official website.

    Alpine Wellness and SPA

The 900 m2 spa includes a panoramic swimming pool, Finnish sauna, steam bath, sanarium, ice crevasse, relaxation and reading rooms, and a sunny deck. Indulge in regenerating treatments or enjoy the Frutt Private Spa Suite, complete with a sauna, steam bath, and whirlpool.

    Gourmet Dining

The on-site restaurant offers a gourmet experience with traditional and international dishes. Start your day with breakfast on the sunny terrace or relax in the lounge and bar.

Are you looking for a vegetarian menu? The chef will surprise you with a creatively crafted vegetarian menu that offers rich and flavorful options.

    Activities in the Swiss Wilderness

In summer, explore hiking trails, rope courses, and fishing. Look up at night—nighttime stargazing is a very special and romantic experience. Discover the Bonistock caves and the ropes course at Stöckalp, or take day trips to Pilatus and Titlis. The four-lake hike to Engelberg is also very popular.

    Family-Friendly Options
