Baselworld is the annual international exhibition of watches and jewellery.

Baselworld is a very important event for the watchmaking and jewellery industry because it concentrates the biggest amount of the swiss and international brands, and demonstrates latest trends, collections and innovations.

    Good to know:

    • 24 of March 9:00 – 16:00

The first day of the show was great. It was a celebration! At first the Ribbon Cutting and then the official Opening Ceremony were so nice. I really enjoyed it. In fact, after the Ceremony I started exploring watches and jewellery, and turns out there are much more to learn about this industry than I thought!

There are over 1500 exhibitors! Switzerland represents 279 companies at Baselworld 2016, 217 of them are Watchmaking! Incredible!:)

For those who is planning to buy a new watch Baselworld is the best place to check all possible options. Newest collections and latest developments all are here!

THERE ARE TWO APPS FOR THE EXHIBITION, I USED BOTH OF THEM FOR THE HALLS STRUCTURE, THE LOCATION OF THE FACILITIES, THE STANDS AND BRAND, AS WELL AS EVENTS AND PRESENTATIONS.

I have to say that I was very satisfied with the management of the event. There are information booths at the train station and all over the exhibition, also in all halls you can use internet and resting places. I think it’s really important because the show is huge. If you want to check all the watchmaking and jewellery companies you have to spend there not a one day!

    traditions & innovations

All the watchmaking, jewellery and related sectors companies are revealing new products, new collections, new innovations! I think the biggest trend and the biggest discussion is how to combine state-of-the-art technologies with the long-time traditions of watchmaking. They should be creative to find a way to integrate the technologies into the classic mechanism and look of the watches. Some companies reveal the new smart watches, like Tag Heuer and Frederique Constant, others are represent only the traditional structure and design. Well… the more interesting it will be to see how things will develop in the future.

Baselworld is inspirinG and extraordinary event.

I hope you enjoyed it! Share your favorite watches and jewellery in the comments below.
